Free safety checks for kids' car seats, Derbyshire

PARENTS are being urged to take advantage of free safety checks for child car seats.
Derbyshire County Council has teamed up with an expert car seat fitter to offer the checks at:
- Tesco, Alfreton, on August 9 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
- Tesco, Heanor, on August 13 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
- Asda, Langley Mill, on August 13 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership's chairman Mike Ashworth said: "Seats must be fitted properly to offer maximum protection – it's vital that motorists who travel with youngsters understand the importance of choosing the right seat and fitting it correctly."
